Foodie Books:

The Food-Lovers Companion: this book has saved me so many trips to the grocery store and gave me a broader knowledge on things from; what to order, what to substitute and how to temp candy. I run to this book every time I have the smallest question!

The 4-hour Chef by Tim Ferriss: My new 'survival guide' to cooking, surviving outdoors and learning languages. Tim Ferriss has brilliantly cut-the-fat out of challenges many people face on a daily basis.

Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain: the may not be a survival-guide, but Tony's take on the gritty restaurant business returns my pride after a long shift. His candid honesty is refreshing after a day of, PC BS.

Tender at the Bone by Ruth Reichl: the recounting of growing up around food is a hilarious journey leaving you with a 'wish I had been there' feeling.

Alcoholica Esoterica by Ian Lender: a cleverly written biography on beer, wine and spirits. This 288 page read is crammed with so many tid-bits of information-you will want to start it over immediately!
